We need money, but we are more valuable than our money. While growing money, don’t forget to grow yourself—develop your character, love for others, and love for God. Luke 12 tells of the parable of the rich man who had such an abundance he planned to build bigger barns to store all his wealth and then live a life of ease and merriment. He did not know God would call him a fool and tell him he would die that night (see Luke 12:16-21). Again, the problem was not his riches but his lack of richness toward God. The Bible does not state that money is evil, but the love of money is evil (see 1 Timothy 6:10). Read Revelation 3:17 “You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked.”
Think about it.
