Mediation Services for Your Success

It is my joy to inspire others with shared vision of relationships, while modeling the way.  Partnering together through prayer helps us to identify the root of contention, and to find the path to restoration, healing and growth that God provides, by using spiritual gifts:

  • Wisdom – reverences God and uses knowledge in a practical way
  • Discernment – sees through confusion to identify issues and to bring righteous solutions.
  • Shepherding – Enjoys leading others in serving the Lord, encourages toward spiritual maturity and working together in harmony.
  • Exhortation – encourages others toward spiritual maturity and motivates to live righteously.
  • Teaching – Communicating knowledge, making known the truth of God’s Word with accuracy
  • Administration – organizing, administering, promoting leadership

MEDIATION SERVICES

Mediate: Conflict can be costly in many ways. Mediation is less expensive and less time-consuming, with more flexibility than court. Moreover, in the judicial system, the judge or the jury decides, whereas you and the other party decide the outcome in mediation.

Mediation? Mediation is third-party assistance to aid disputing parties to resolve conflict via the use of a mediator. The mediation becomes legally binding if both parties sign a written agreement.

Unlike secular mediation, our Christian conciliation mediation is a non-adversarial process with peacemaking ground rules. The mediator helps the parties unlock communication to reach a biblical resolution. Stop the painful conflict with sleepless nights and fear of court. That is why we say, “don’t litigate; mediate.”

Part of the problem before mediation could be because the parties haven’t had the opportunity to be heard. During mediation, both parties share their positions with the other party, ask questions, and come to an understanding in a safe, non-hostile environment. All involved work toward a biblical resolution to honor God. Moreover, the parties actualize the mandate of 1 Corinthians 6:1 not to sue fellow believers in court.

What distinguishes Conciliation Services mediation from others is Oletha Barnett’s heart, care, and compassion for those involved. She is discerning and sensitive to the needs of the parties. One of her clients said it well, “She brings wisdom, heart, love, and care to the table.”

The mediator(s) serve the parties by helping them unlock communications to understand each other. The mediator also assists the parties in exploring various options for resolution. The Mediator is a third-party who provides assistance to aid disputing parties to resolve conflict. The disputants remain in control of the outcome of the mediation.

Mediation is non-adversarial, around-the-table work to resolve the dispute outside of court. Mediation becomes legally enforceable when the parties incorporate their agreement into a legally binding contract.

Mediation is obedience to God and actualizes 1 Corinthians 6:1 not to sue fellow Believers in court.

If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people? Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do you ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church?

1 Corinthians 6:1-4

Painful conflict with sleepless nights? Afraid of court? Let us help you resolve the matter out of court. In the judicial system, the judge or the jury decides. In mediation, you decide. You and the other party sit, around-the-table (or Zoom call) with the mediator who helps you unlock communication to reach biblical agreement. It is private, less time-consuming and less expensive than going to court.

Perhaps part of the problem is because you haven’t had the opportunity to be heard. Each side gets to share their positions with the other party, ask questions and come to an understanding. You only come to a solution if both parties agree. All involved work toward a biblical resolution to honor God in accordance with 1 Corinthians 6:1 providing rules against lawsuits among believers.
